This is a film from India, tells the story of a Muslim man with Asperger syndrome and his wife after the attacks of September 11, 2001. The protagonist is named Khan, and suffers many situations of discrimination because of their illness and also to their culture. This movie is told in a very true reality that is still present in the United States ; DISCRIMINATION OF CULTURES IN USA .In this film you can see the power of the stereotype against people of other cultures, in this case the stereotype is applied to Muslims as terrorists just because their traditions and appearance. The protagonist must confront discrimination, the death of his son for being Muslim and believe that it belonged to a family of terrorists, and the rejection of his wife, he travels around the country to tell the president that the he is only Muslim and he is NOT A TERRORIST.

Moreover, this film shows different cultures within the same country and different realities.

I leave the trailer to be seen and I hope you take the time to see this movie because it is very very very real.

  1. Ohh ! it is an interesting movie! I´m going to watch it! I can´t undertand why people can´t respect differents cultures, if we are differents that doesn´t mean that we are strange and we don´t have the same rights than others.
thanks u maca for the movie (:

  2. As Carolina says: thanks for the recomendation of the movie :D
Reading what you said about it, I could understand that this movie shows markedly the concept of "sterotype", what is good, because I think the media awarenes can give us fun and knowledge. Also, I want to add that not for being different, must to be wrong or bad.

  4. Impressive!!!Congratulations Maca, I think you won the jackpot publishing this. Sometimes we are so involved in the things that surround us, that we ingnore the discrimination of cultures. Its a good contribution that help us to eliminate all sort of stereotypes, wrong ideas and break some barriers that we could have. Besides, it might help us to be better persons, because we already know the bad things that happened, so we must make great changes in our society to contribute a better Chile and don't let that bad things affect us. As a result, we will provoke that other people with other nationalities feel motivated to do great changes and have good ideas as we have.

  5. With this I realize that unfortunately today people are still widespread. You can not convict a person and give it a title or image without knowing they. I think respect for the diversity and non-use of stereotypes ought to be something that everyone in the XXI century we should use :)
