One of the things that this movie show us is how difficult is to maintain the traditions of a culture when is being in another country with another beliefs. Respect to this topic I really think that the entire world still need to learned to be more tolerants and accept all differents believes of the other cultures.
So i have a question: why do you think is it still so difficult for cultures such as Hindu or Muslim be integrated into a global society?
Most of the beliefs of these cultures are related to religion and this has a great respect... I think for them to break with traditions and consider other from a globalized world that often forgets religion is like a big disrespect. But I think they are right in not wanting to do what other cultures do, but I think people should respect them, there must be mutual respect.
ReplyDeleteI think that is mainly because of the different traditions and culture. We have two problems here: the first one is that they can not leave their religion and culture away to fit in the "global society" and the second one, and the most serious I think, is that society in general have little tolerance with the differences. That's why these cultures don't have the confidence to integrate the global society, because there is a lot of discrimination. I agree with Maryorie, the problem of integration will end when we all respect each other.
