leave this question to see what do you think: Is it important to maintain and comply fully with the family, cultural  or religious traditions?

  1. I think traditions are important, because in some way define you as a person, your society, your culture, etc..
But, cumply fully with them it's hard to do.

  2. I don't think so. In my opinion I think that is your choise, you are able to decide if it's important or not. Nobody can decide by you, except you.

  3. It´s important to make our dreams true, but it´s important too keep the traditions. I think this controvelsials problems are present when a family live so far of their country and start to know other cultures, ways to live, etc as we could see in "bend it like Beckham". But I think is not a problem when a person have lived all their life in the same place, with the same people, and same culture. Because they don't have any different thing in front of their eyes. It´s a really good question what you did, because if we think it´s so difficult to find a middle point. But I think when cultures have banned the realtions with others cultures, I think is wrong, because all of us are people, It doesn´t matter our background :D

  4. My thought is that one must be faithful to the traditions because as Alejandra says, these define you and give you an identity, but sometimes break the rules there is nothing wrong. For example if I were Jesminder, I would fight for my dream. Maybe I will break the traditions or characteristics that define my culture, but while there is respect for it ... why not?

  5. I found very interesting your question and I think that is important to maintain with our culture and traditions because that help us to feel represented in a group that has the same characteristics than us . Also if we are not happy with that traditions we can think about it and change, but that can be difficult, becuase your family can annoy and you can have problems with that. I think it is depend of the situation that is living the person if you are doing differents things that dont make you happy you have to take a decision.

  6. As Alexandra said traditions define us as people, but will perform or not each option. Many times this decision is limited by the consequences that you may bring, but as we saw in the movie by showing that we really want a change and fight so he can achieve great things.
