Bend it like Beckham

Well, today the movie was very fun. It shows  a problem where two traditions are mixed and they can't survive together in a interesting way. I think mainly this problem is caused because of traditions and the importance that a woman has in the Indian world. For example, Jess couldn't be with Joe because he was white and traditions say that it must to be an Indian man. In my opinion, it is important to respect cultures in general, but that doesn't mean that we have to separate life because of traditions, we just have to respect one each other. Also, I think nothing, not even traditions, should  make us choose something to do in life that we don't want to. I know that is another culture, but I don't agree with that. However, I really liked the end of the movie because it was pretty exciting.

  1. I totally agree with you... I think that its director, Gurinder Chadha, explores in every movie that he makes the way of living that had the indian comunities in the Uk and that help us to realize the difficulties of their lives with all the discrimination and that sort of things. I really enjoy this movie because it shows some of the Indian traditions and how do they live in another country like the UK

  2. I agree with you..the problem is caused because of traditions the Indian world, not only the woman, the indian in general... For example, when Jess's father said that was rejected when he wanted to play football in this country for white men...
