"The Help"
I think that this is a movie that shows the ugly truth of the black discrimination in the 60's. It can help us to understand and see both point of views, black and white. it is a sad story that makes you think.
In Thunderheart we saw that Ray Levoi is embarrassed that  in his veins runs Indian blood. Such cases often occur in our country with people who have kinship or inheritance Mapuche. Why is this happen? Why are we ashamed of our roots and origin?

Wounded Knee Incident - Thunderheart

I want to share with you something that I found searching in the web, it's an article about the real facts in te Wounded Knee Incident in 1973, that we could see in THUNDERHEART.

I really liked to read this, because now I have more knowledge about this incident, not just what I can see in the movie.

Thunderheart

In the movie we can see that the main character finds his roots, as he shares with the people of the reservation, after he denied them and he takes respect to  people that live there.
I think  that we should respect ours natives and we not should take their ground. After all they've been before us.
Today, Do you think that today in another countries is respected the native's life?

"Bend it like Beckham"

One of the things that this movie show us is how difficult is to maintain the traditions of a culture when is being in another country with another beliefs. Respect to this topic I really think that the entire world still need to learned  to be more tolerants and accept all differents believes of the other cultures.
So i have a question: why do you think is it still so difficult for cultures such as Hindu or Muslim be integrated into a global society?

leave this question to see what do you think: Is it important to maintain and comply fully with the family, cultural  or religious traditions?

The earth... our home!

I found this movie very entertaining and interesting, because we can realize the differences between native american and the citizens , the differents styles of life and how they see the nature. In this movie we can learn about the importance of the nature and the feelings that they have about it . In mi opinion everybody  should think the same because it is our land and  we have to protect it , because it is our home. Also I think that is similar about what happens here in Chile with Mapuches , dont you  think?
